BRIAN JERNIGAN

founder & principal designer

In 1998, Wm. Brian Jernigan opened his residential design practice in Birmingham, Alabama, with a focus on southern vernacular and traditional styles. Twenty years and hundreds of projects later, Jernigan's work stretches from Baton Rouge to Hilton Head to Indianapolis. Projects vary from a farmhouse compound overlooking an Alabama river to a historic Greek revival house on Mobile Bay. His work caters to the site, the schedule, and the clients' dreams of a place to call home.

Jernigan's childhood in Mobile, Alabama exposed him to beautiful southern architecture and a long history of gracious living. Homes with Classical Southern, Spanish, and French influences inspire his approach to the craft. He further developed his insight over many trips to Paris, Italy, and the French countryside.

Jernigan has dual degrees from Auburn University in Architecture and Interior Design; he uses his unique education to take a  comprehensive approach to his projects. Respect for architectural form and function, as well as a strong vision for interior design, fuels a holistic approach to the spaces he creates.  Whether it's custom home designs or predesigned plans, Brian gives serious consideration to material selection, budget, and site requirements. Jernigan has been designing custom furniture, homes, and interiors for over 25 years. This experience, and his thoughtful approach to each project, help create amazing designs -- and makes dreams of home come true.
